Star Disability has started providing NDIS community support services on country with the launch of our services in the Wirrumiyanga Community, Tiwi Islands. The Director of Operation- Great Makunde has made several trips to the community meeting various stake holders and participants. We are excited to have engaged local community members to provide these supports to 11 NDIS participants.
We have an all-terrain 4-wheel drive available from 8am-5pm to provide required transportation to various activities which include fishing, camping, arts and craft and we will be introducing movie nights which can benefit other family members and the whole community. We thank our local partners the Red Cross- Kevin Doolan, Tiwi Enterprises, NIAA Local representative, Sacred Business Services, Eunoia Lane and others who are making this program a success.
